Beneficiaries…Who Do You Love? ♥♥

Valentine’s Day will soon be here!  Do you know who the beneficiary is on your life insurance policy?  Sometimes it is easy to overlook the simplest of things.

Why is it so important to know and to have your beneficiary information updated?  A life insurance policy protects the financial status of another person – or people – in the event of your death.

When Purchasing Knights of Columbus insurance policy, you have selected a primary beneficiary, and if you desire, a contingent, or secondary beneficiary.  It’s always a wise choice to have a contingent beneficiary because you may outlive your primary beneficiary.  A contingent beneficiary is the person designated to receive life insurance policy proceeds if the primary beneficiary dies.

By being specific as possible in the wording your beneficiary designation you make sure that the life insurance proceeds will be available to your wife, daughter, son, etc., in a timely manner  when needed most.

Your life situation will undoubtedly change over time.  Plan to update your beneficiary designations periodically.  This will ensure that your life insurance coverage will protect those you love and want to protect.

Changing your beneficiary is fairly simple.   I can provide you with the necessary forms, and can help you fill them out.    I can also help you with all of your life insurance policy beneficiary designations for any life insurance policy you hold – regardless of the company that issued it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Brother Knights – 2013!

Happy New Year to all my Brothers! As Catholics, our new year begins at Advent. We have our own special start then. As citizens we celebrate the annual festivities of a new calendar year. I want to wish you all the safest of new years and to remind all my Brothers that the safest way to start the New Year is to protect all we own. Our loved ones cling on to our support and love, and when we leave they lose them both. We can show them as a Catholic Gentleman, the responsibility we have by leaving them with Catholic Protection. And I might add the finest of Catholic protection. This will enable them to weather the storms of survival through your love and your intelligent management of your assets.

Our annuities can be obtained in 2013 for tax obligations of 2012, but you must act quickly. This is a time sensitive decision.
Our Long Term Care is budget friendly and you can modify the plan to create your own affordable premium.
Of course, the finest of Life Insurance is available and this is the time to look at the safety of a plan from your Brotherhood.

Wishing you and yours a responsible start to the New Year leaves me open to your availability. I am here for you my Brothers and you only.
Please call me for a quick review and some tax saving advice for 2013.
May the Good Lord be with you this new season.

The Holidays Are Fast Approaching!! Are You Ready For Your Insurance Check-up for 2013?

Now that the holidays are fast approaching! Can you believe it will soon be 2013? I hope that 2012 has been a healthy, prosperous year for you and your family. It’s said that time flies, and the older we get, the more that statement seems true. As we review the past year and prepare to welcome a new one, we wonder where the time goes.

If you’re like most people, you’ve made some resolutions for 2013. If I may, I’d like to make two suggestions regarding your resolutions. First, write them down. A resolution is really a goal for the year and, until you commit a goal to writing, it’s nothing more than a wish. Writing a resolution down is the first step towards achieving it. Whether your goal is to lose weight, contribute more time and money to charity, read more or watch less television, you’re more likely to accomplish it if you write it down.

Second, schedule some time to visit with me, your professional Knights of Columbus insurance agent. The “insurance check-up” that I’ll provide (free of charge, by the way!) will quickly identify any gaps in your family’s life insurance program. And you’ll want to fill those gaps now, not later. Because unlike many other products, you need more than money to obtain life insurance. You also need good health, and no one will ring a bell warning you when your health is about to change.

Knights of Columbus life insurance offers something precious few other financial products can – guarantees. As long as you pay your premiums, the policy proceeds will be there for your beneficiaries should something happen to you. We call that peace of mind, and that’s (as they say in the credit card commercials) priceless.

This Holiday Season, keep in mind the real meaning of CHRISTmas. Keeping CHRIST in CHRISTmas. Take time to enjoy your family and friends. Think of those things God has given us. Remember that you are the one who your family counts on for tomorrow’s support. The Knights of Columbus is here to help assure that mission is met.

Grand Knight’s Message November 2012

The month of October has been very busy for your Knights of Columbus Sacramento Council 953. This month alone you may have seen us:

At loaves and fishes serving over 300 hot meals to the hungry and homeless, you may have seen us at the Newman Center bartending for their Oktoberfest, you may have participated in our own Oktoberfest this past week. You may have found us at our social mixer a couple of weeks ago at the hall, you may have seen us near the campus of Sac State issuing a check for the students for life or you may have driven by us performing a sidewalk witness for 40 days for Life.

As always you can find us visiting our in-firmed brothers, you can join us at our officers meeting every first Thursday of the month and of course at our general business meeting the second Thursday of every month. Last Tuesday we hosted a first degree at our hall, welcoming 9 new Brother Knights.

A couple of Sundays ago you could have found us at St. Mary’s performing our annual Tootsie Roll Drive for those intellectuals with disabilities. Then you would have found us performing the same fund raiser at Sacred Heart Parish a week after that. This coming Sunday you can find us at St. George for traditional annual memorial mass and on November 10th we have our annual shrimp feed.

Your Knights of Columbus is becoming more prominent in our social community. You can find us on twitter, Facebook, via email or even a phone call. We are here and we would love for you to be active with us.

You have become part of something greater, isn’t it time to utilize your membership and join your fellow brothers in action?

GO! And make a difference.
