St. Stephen’s Pig Roast & Square Dance
St. Mary’s Parish will be holding its 83rd annual festival on Sunday, August, 17, 2014 and as usual, the festival’s Zippy Bun Booth will be set up and run by members of the council. (For newer members not familiar with a zippy bun sandwich, it’s nothing more than a pile of roast beef between two bun halves dripping with aus jus and is one of the most popular food items at the festival.) We’re still in need of volunteers to man some of the two hour shifts. In particular, we need two more members for each of the 2-4PM, 4-6PM and 6-8PM shifts as well assisting in take down after the festival closes at 8PM.
If you can help at the booth at one or more of these times, please leave a message for Terry Corcoran at 916-736-0953. THANKS!
A Christmas yard sale will be held at the council hall on Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The proceeds will go toward the cost of repairing the hall’s back parking lot. Your donations of saleable items are needed and will be accepted until the days of the sale. Donations may be dropped off at the hall (back parking lot next to the garage), or you may call Terry Corcoran at 224-7786 to discuss possible pick up.
Additionally, volunteers are needed to help during the sale. Please call Terry if you are able to help.
