The annual Irish Night dinner was very successful again this year. We had approximately 100 guests enjoying what everyone said was a delicious meal of corned beef and cabbage, thanks to the good work in the kitchen by David Carboni with help from Steve Mills and Terry Corcoran. The sing along with Bridget Brennan went well as usual with most trying to keep up with the rapid fire lyrics of the fun Irish tunes. Thanks to all who helped make the event successful again this year, both my fellow Knights and all the guests who keep coming each year.

The 62nd annual Saints & Sinners Golf Tournament, which was scheduled for April 24, has been canceled and
will be rescheduled. Further information will be available at a later date.
Last month’s Pasta Feed fundraiser was a great success! A special thank you goes out to Ricardo Saldaña for organizing the event and Johnny Waldron and his team of cooks for preparing the delicious dinner. Thank you to everyone who came out to the dinner in support of protecting life in our community. We were able to raise over $1,800 for the Sacramento Life Center and the Bishop Gallegos Maternity Home. In addition, the
proceeds from the March Business Meeting dinner will also be donated to both charities.
I must personally say that it was a pleasure to see a larger number of guests for our annual tradition. I hope you enjoyed the meal as much as I enjoyed preparing it; but I’m already working on tweaking it for next year. First of all, I want to thank everyone who attended; and also want to apologize for the broccoli being cold. However, I also want to send a personal thanks to all the folks who helped out:
PGK Al Piccardo who, with my girlfriend Stefanie, was one of the three points for my “Assembly Line” plating;
PSD Dick Cutting, for handling the door, in addition to helping PGKs Dale Edwards & Alex Kachmar in helping
serve in the dining room;
…and Brother Terry Corcoran for both Tending Bar and handling the clean up.
I look forward to chairing this “Fun Raising” event again for an 11th year.
