On Thursday, Nov.15th, we will be holding a 1st degree ceremony at the hall. The doors will open at 6:00PM and the ceremony will commence at 7:00PM with refreshments to follow. All members of Council 953 are welcome to attend as observers and to greet our new Knights.
If any member has someone in mind that he feels would be a good addition to the Knights, now is the time to ask them. If any such person expresses an interest, I will be happy to meet with them and to fill out an application form if that person decides to join.
Finally, we are also holding a membership drive at St. Mary’s church this Saturday and Sunday following each mass. I could use someone after the 8:00AM and 11:00AM masses to hand out our brochure to any interested person at the garden side door of the church. Time spent would be about 10 minutes. Please let me know if you could help out.

District Deputy Eric Watson and Our Lady of Grace Council 9469 are hosting a 2nd and 3rd Degree Exemplification on Saturday, September 10 2016 at Our Lady of Grace School, 1990 Linden Road, West Sacramento, CA 95691. The schedule of events is as follows:
9:00 am Registration for 2nd and 3rd Degree
9:50 am 2nd Degree registration closes
10:00 am Exemplification of the 2nd Degree
11:00 am Lunch (Menu: Smoked pork ribs, coleslaw, corn, potato salad)
11:45 am 3rd Degree registration closes
12:30 pm Exemplification of the 3rd Degree
Cost: For both degrees is $25 and includes lunch. Cost for 2nd Degree only is $10 or 3rd Degree only is $16. For sponsors and guests, lunch is $14. Dress code will be strictly enforced. Candidates must be properly dressed in collared sport shirt and slacks for either exemplification. No blue jeans, shorts or T-Shirts are allowed. Congratulations to Clifton Bachmeier, Carlos Garcia, Scott Raab, and Matthew Urner, who joined our Council through the exemplification of the First Degree last month.
The council will be holding a 1st degree exemplification on Tuesday, October 30th. Any and all members are invited to attend to observe the ceremony and welcome our new members. The door to the council hall will be open at 6:00 p.m., and we are requesting that all candidates arrive no later than 6:30.. The exemplification shall start at 7:00 p.m. (or shortly thereafter).
Refreshments will be served following the exemplification.
On Thursday October 18, 2012 at 6:30 pm Council 953 will be holding an Autumn Social Mixer. This is being put on by our membership director as a recruiting aid. Please bring any Catholic Gentlemen you know who would be a good candidate to join our order, along with wives or girl friends. Appetizers, drinks, adult beverages, and music provided. A shirt with a collar is required.
