Bill Renard was selected as Knight of the Month for the month April 2013. Some of our hardest working members do so much work for the council behind the scenes. Bill is Vice President of the Building Association. Bill is always helping out at the hall, making repairs, cleaning up and recently he filled his car full of e-waste to take to CEAR.

Many thanks Bill for all your hard work.

Renew What’s Important To You

Spring is a time for renewal. Trees and plants will soon be blooming, and many animals will shake off the cold and become active again. As the winter doldrums end, you’ll be ready to get outside with your family, too, and be part of this renewal.

It is also a perfect opportunity to take a few moments to consider your goals and what’s important to you and your loved ones. Are you planning to welcome a new child or sending one to college? Are you looking forward to retirement? Will you have enough money to accomplish these goals? What would happen if something happened to you?

Whether or not you have life insurance with the Order, I’ll be happy to meet with you and examine how you can meet your needs and goals.  If you’ve had any life changes since you last bought a policy (new home, new child, new job, etc.), chances are your life insurance needs to be updated.  Maybe an annuity or long-term care plan appeals to your situation. Whatever the case, I’ll work with you to make sure you have the coverage you need at a price you can afford.

When we meet, you’ll discover that the time we spend together will be a commitment to your future and your family’s well-being. Let’s get together soon to renew your financial goals with the stable backing of the Knights of Columbus.

Grand Knight’s Message, April 2013

To my worthy brother knights and their families:

These last few months have been quite the whirlwind, both in the Catholic community, and at the council level. We pray for Pope Francis, that God will grant him the wisdom, the insight & patience  needed to guide our culture in today’s society. As Our Columbian year starts to come to a close, we’d like to offer a prayer of thanksgiving, for all the good deeds, works and accomplishments of this year.

We have a few more events still to come to close out this year:
the Saints and sinners golf tournament & Our annual yard sale, both are during this month. Let’s not forget the refacing of the sign for the Newman Center in May…  And of course our PGK & Old-Timers Dinner.

**  Council 953 has welcomed 13 new brother knights this Columbian year. For us to make Star Council  we need 10 more new brother knights to join.  Please refer any potential knights to our membership director Brother Lewis Munoz at  (916) 616-2051 so that we can make star council a reality.

As you know Council 953 is a very special council, rich with history. Why not share the experience of being a brother knight with those around you?

GO! and make a difference.
