Family of the Month – March 2014
John Bashore’s family is our Family of the Month for March. John is a first degree member of the Knights and a true family man. He is married with three lovely children who attend St. Mary’s School. John has been a member of the Council for at least two years now and he works in Social Services for the County of Sacramento. In addition to being a great father he is also the head coach for the fourth grade girls basketball team at St. Mary’s and an assistant coach for the first grade girl’s team. He is an active parishioner at St. Mary’s Church and he looks forward to getting more involved with the Knights this year.
Family of the Month July 2013
We are very pleased and honored to announce that the family of Bryan McKrell, has been selected as the Family of the Month for the month of July 2013. Bryan is currently the Recorder of our Council and has also been the Family Director of our Council for the past year. As Family Director he has organized a Family Night and has also recently organized a Family Picnic.
Children’s Coloring Contest
Knights of Columbus Council 953 is conducting a children’s coloring contest from the book, “A Knights of Columbus COLORING BOOK.” The contest is open to all children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews of council members ages 3 to 10. The pictures will be judged by those attending the Christmas Potluck. The picture to be colored is attached. Coloring Contest Picture
Prizes of Leatherby’s Ice Cream will be awarded to the best coloring in the following age groups.

• ages 9 & 10
Family Night
On Friday August 10th Council 953 will be holding a “Family Night.” Bring the children and or grandchildren for this fun event for all. There will be pizza, salad, kid juice boxes & sodas. The bar will be open for adults to purchase beer and wine. There will also be popcorn, ice cream and other treats. The movie “Tangled” will be shown. We will also have kid rated video games setup to use.
The event will be from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
The cost is $5.00 for adults, children are free.
Please RSVP for a head count. # of adults & children.
Also we need help with setting up from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM and cleaning up from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Family of the Year 2012

Br. David Carboni, was elected as the Family of the Year.
Dave and his wife Bonnie have just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Br. Dave with the support of his wife Bonnie, have done great jobs at the Council’s Fund raisers for Charities. Also if not working at these fund raisers they, always attend them.
