wishing the Br. David Carboni family, MANY – MANY HAPPY YEARS!
It is a privilege and honor to have the Nulk family as September family of the month. When you think of Knights of Columbus #953 the Nulk name has to come to mind. Charlie Nulk has been our Grand Knight twice, past chapter president, former District Deputy and Hall board chief for many years! He also was the chairman of German night for many, many years when it was so big it was held at St Francis High School. and attended by over 400 people (now that’s a job!!) His son Tom is our Hall bartender and chairs the bar at the St Mary’s festival. Tom is also part of St. Mary’s basketball night and has recently recruited many of our new Knights! Charlie has now passed German night to his son Tom, who has chaired it the last few years. Also German night would not have been a success without Pat Nulk who’s hard work and advise has been a blessing, right up to the current German night!!
So lets all give a big hand to the Nulk family not only for German Knight but their selfless giving to the Knights of Columbus #953 throughout the years! Thank you!
Brothers, we are very pleased and honored to announce that the family of Brother Andy Thielan, was elected as the Family of the Month for the month of August 2011..
Andy’s family attended St. Mary’s parish, where he sponsored one of the $80 every 80 minute raffle in addition to volunteering at the bar in Giovanni hall during the St. Mary’s festival. Andy has volunteered at the St. Stephens family feast and participated in the dinners provided to us during our business meeting the last few months. His wife has served a few years as a member of the pastoral council and currently serves as its president. She volunteers heavily with St. Mary’s school and parish and is also a Eucharistic minister. Two of his sons currently attend Jesuit high school and he has another at St. Mary’s elementary. All of his son’s have served as altar boys. In show of support, his entire family showed up at both St. Mary’s festival and St. Stephens’s family feast. He also heads St. Mary’s basketball night. It is with much thanks and appreciation that this month’s “Family of the Month” is Andy Thielan’s Family.
Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 953 wishing the Andy Thielan family, MANY-MANY HAPPY YEARS!
